Junior Cricket Pathway Programme

Finnish Junior Cricket Pathway Programme

Welcome to the Finnish Junior Cricket Pathway Programme (JPP), an initiative by Cricket Finland designed to support and enhance the development of young cricketers aged 11-15. Our aim is to provide a sustainable pathway for boys and girls, guiding them towards representing Finland on the national stage in men’s, women’s, and youth teams. Through this programme, we aspire to nurture talent that can compete at future World Cups, Olympic events, and in international franchise cricket.

Programme Overview

The JPP is for advanced young players who have demonstrated a strong ability, understanding, and skill in cricket. The training is conducted using indoor balls, focusing on honing both technical and tactical aspects of the game.

It is important to note that the JPP sessions are meant to complement, not replace, regular club training. Therefore, all participants must first be members of one of Cricket Finland’s affiliated clubs that offer junior activities. Regular participation in club training sessions is essential for those interested in joining the JPP.

Coaching

The JPP is overseen by a dedicated coordination and coaching team, who work closely with Cricket Finland to ensure the programme meets the highest standards of cricket training and development. This team is responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring the progress of all participants, ensuring each player reaches their full potential.
