Get ready to witness cricket fever as the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup European Qualifier C kicks off in beautiful Guernsey on August 21st with the final on August 28th.
It’s time to cheer on our Finnish Bears team and enjoy the electrifying atmosphere of T20 cricket! And guess what? Finland is all set to show their skills on the pitch! That’s right, the land of a thousand lakes is ready to make waves on the cricket pitch!
Finland is stepping up to the crease, and their coach Matt Jenkinson says “The Bears are looking forward to the challenge. Every game is a must-win situation with five games in only eight days. The guys have the skills to match it with any of the teams we come up against. These are exciting times for Finnish cricket.”
And that’s not all! New captain Amjad Sher is equally fired up, saying, “After a successful 2022 WCQ campaign, I believe we have covered all the required yards to face the next level challenge where we will undoubtedly be going with full intention and hopes to win the tournament. We are placed in a good competitive group therefore as a collective we are super pumped, and every squad member is working extremely hard to be selected and proudly wear the Finnish blue colours in this high-stakes event. We have a busy, competitive, and intense summer coming up which will hopefully prepare and plug any of our shortcomings”.
