The 2026 junior cricket calendar officially kicks off this February! Cricket Finland is opening the year with a junior indoor competition at Pallomylly, providing an immediate competitive pathway for two distinct age groups. One is targeted to U13 teams and one (note this consists of two match days!) for U17 teams.
Suomi Junior League (U13) – Focus on Fun
This tournament is the perfect entry point for younger players. Utilizing the ICC criiio format, we strip away the intimidation of hard balls and heavy gear, focusing on the fundamentals of the game.

Suomi Youth League (U17) – The Competitive Edge
For our older juniors, we are hosting a two-day league format. This is a “hard-ball” style indoor competition (using yellow indoor balls) that requires tactical awareness and physical readiness.
- Two-Day Format: Unlike one-off events, this league tests consistency across two Saturdays (Feb 21 & March 14).
- Gear & Safety: Because this is a competitive league, full protective gear is mandatory. Safety is our priority; players must have insurance that specifically covers cricket matches.
- Licensing: Players must hold a valid Cricket Finland U18 License.
- Fee: 100€/team (including both days)

Gear & Safety
For the U17 Suomi Youth League, safety is non-negotiable. All players must be equipped with standard cricket protective gear. We recommend clubs perform a gear audit during practice sessions leading up to the February 21st start date.
