The Finnish National Team, the Finnish Bears, will play international matches again for the first time after the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown was relaxed.
The squad will be in Copenhagen from August 24th to 28th to compete in a special “Tri-Nation Series” of matches against the teams from hosts Denmark and Germany. There will be a minimum of four T20I matches per team and a few other friendly matches.
A squad of 17 Bears players have been selected by head coach Matt Jenkinson and the management team to proudly represent Finland in the series.
“We are excited and feeling fortunate to have the opportunity to travel and play some international matches against such worthy opposition considering the current climate. It will be a great test for the guys and a chance to get an accurate measure of the squad’s progression from our previous trip to Denmark” said Matt Jenkinson, Head Coach of the Finnish Bears.
